Discover Ecclesall was created by Darryl October and Matthew Trinder, two Web Designers from Sheffield. Matthew's initial concept was to create a Website which showcases all the businesses on Ecclesall Road but with Darryl's input the project quickly grew into something much bigger.

The concept became one of developing a rich community website with features not found on any other directory site such as detailed photos, offers & discounts, nonbiased reviews and user comments.

At the time of writing, competing sites list only a small portion of businesses in Ecclesall (roughly 3%) many of which do not have up-to-date information and images. We stand above the rest by having 99% of businesses listed (over 450) with comprehensive information and a rich array of other useful features, such as classified ads and a local events listing.

In September 2008 Darryl and Matthew released Discover Ecclesall to a warm reception from the public and members of the community.

Matthew & Darryl continue to develop the site and enjoy hearing from users about their suggestions and ideas for new features and improvements. Darryl & Matthew are developing a "mobile" version of the site for use on Mobile Phones and PDA's so that you can get all the best features of Discover Ecclesall on the go.
